Sean Pollard Incursion

On Wednesday 8 March, we welcomed Sean Pollard back to the College to present to our Year 9 and 11 students. Sean shared a personal account of his traumatic shark attack experience in 2014, which resulted in him losing his left arm and right hand, but surviving against all odds. His story is a testament to his resilience, optimism and courage, which he shared with the students.

Sean also talked about how he overcame the mental and physical obstacles that he faced and how he managed to achieve his goal of competing in the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in South Korea. His presentation was truly inspiring, and it highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive outlook in life to build resilience during tough times.

Our students have gained a valuable lesson in courage and resilience from Sean's story. We would like to thank Sean for sharing his journey with us!
