Senior School: Pathways to Purpose and Success

Years 10 to 12

The Senior School years at Mother Teresa Catholic College represent a time of focus, growth, and future-building. From Years 10 to 12, our students are supported to develop clarity, confidence, and capability as they prepare for life beyond school—whether that’s university, TAFE, apprenticeships, or the workforce.

We recognise that these are the most crucial years in a student’s educational journey, and we are committed to helping each learner realise their potential, achieve their personal best, and walk confidently into the next chapter of life.

Tailored Pathways for Every Learner

At Mother Teresa Catholic College, Senior School students are guided through a broad range of academic and vocational pathways that reflect their unique interests, strengths, and ambitions. Whether pursuing an ATARVET, or blended pathway, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and are supported with expert guidance along the way.

From specialised subject offerings and workplace learning to certificate courses and university extension opportunities, we provide meaningful, real-world learning experiences designed to equip students for success in a rapidly changing world.

A Focus on Excellence and Achievement

We believe in high expectations and high support. Our dedicated team of educators work closely with each student to monitor progress, set goals, and build the skills needed to succeed. Personalised academic support, exam preparation workshops, and career counselling are embedded in the senior school experience to ensure all students—regardless of pathway—are set up for their best possible outcomes.

Whether aiming for a university place, gaining an apprenticeship, or entering the workforce, our students leave Senior School with a strong sense of purpose and preparation.

A Future Grounded in Faith

As students mature, they continue to engage with their Catholic identity in more personal and reflective ways. Through service, social justice projects, senior retreats, and leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to think deeply about their values and how they can use their gifts in service to others. These experiences help shape graduates who are not only academically prepared but also ethically grounded and community-minded.

Preparing for Life After School

Our Senior School program doesn’t just prepare students for exams—it prepares them for life. Career expos, mock interviews, university visits, and industry partnerships expose students to the full range of opportunities available after graduation. Meanwhile, well-being programs and pastoral care continue to play a vital role in supporting emotional resilience, healthy decision-making, and a balanced lifestyle.

A Community of Support

We know the senior years can be intense—but no student walks the journey alone. Our strong network of staff, mentors, and career advisors work hand-in-hand with families to ensure students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to achieve their best. We’re proud to celebrate every achievement—big and small—as our students prepare to step confidently into their future.
