Remembrance Day Service
This morning, our College commemorated Remembrance Day with a Remembrance Day Service. Students and staff gathered on the Junior School Oval for the ceremony. We welcomed special guest Lieutenant Commander Paterson to address the service and recite The Ode. Each class had the opportunity to lay a class wreath during the ceremony and we all observed a minute of silence.
At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month each year, we remember the moment in 1918 when World War I came to an end. Today, we remember all who have served, and continue to serve in our armed forces, especially those who have died and those wounded in battle.
We also pray for healing and peace; that one day, all peoples will lay down their arms and embrace one another as brothers and sisters
