LORIN NICHOLSON - REVIEW

All of Year Seven filed into the occupied stairs to listen to the incredible story of Lorin Nicholson. Lorin is a motivational speaker and lives in Brisbane he works as a therapist and has helped over 30000 patients. The Year Sevens listened intently as they enjoyed several songs, stories and questions. He explained his story of his general life style and how he rode to the beach. This feat was not only riding a simple one kilometre to the beach, this was over 200 kilometres and riding over many mountains, but he was not alone his father encouraged and believed in him when others did not he stayed with him when he was struggling he kept him going.

Lorin explained how he was blind and how this occurred. He was able to get over this and he was able to enjoy everything like an average person. He had explained β€œThe biggest mountain is the mountain inside of you.” Lorin inspired and touched the hearts of many of these young Year Seven students therefore accomplishing very much indeed.

Lorin showed how nothing can stop you from reaching your goals just never to give up. He explains this through his story of how he learnt to play the guitar by feeling what all the strings felt like and memorising it. He also explained how he was able to understand who he was speaking to by memorising what their voice sounded like.

Overall the Year Sevens enjoyed listening to his inspirational stories and his wonderful songs. They gave hope to all children that you can reach your goals by practicing and never giving up, even when you make a mistake.
