Wheelchairs for Kids

On Friday 23 June, a group of Year 10 students and accompanying staff volunteered at Wheelchairs for Kids. Wheelchairs for Kids is a charity organisation that builds adjustable wheelchairs for those in need internationally.

The organisation have made over 54,000 wheelchairs that have been distributed to 90 countries worldwide. Our students help in the construction of wheelchair parts in the workshop.

Students help out with all stages of building, including fabrics on the chair, building the seat plates, bending the metal to become the frame, drill pressing parts for easy assembly, and loading the shipping containers that get sent worldwide. What a worthy cause!

Well done to those who volunteered their time to serve in such a meaningful way.
